Advanced 3D Modelling

For extremely complex subsurface problems, or when the highest accuracy in predicting EM response is required, a full 3D response to a fully 3Dmodel of the subsurface feature and background needs to be calculated.
Bathymetry and geo-electric boundaries are accurately mapped into the 3D model, directly importing surfaces from seismic workstations. This allows optimal survey parameters to be chosen even in complex geological settings. Some geological scenarios where Advanced 3D modelling is imperative are:
- Salt or subsalt mapping
- Sub-basalt mapping
- Extreme seafloor bathymetry
- Regions of rapidly varying background structure
This proprietary OHM software makes a precise calculation of every element of a complex 3D model to predict the response of a complex subsurface
This is a no compromise highly accurate solution and accordingly is extremely processor intensive.
The software runs under Linux on a single processor workstation or on a parallel. Cluster run times are dependant on the model size and are of the order of days to weeks for multiple scenarios.
