1D Feasibility Modelling

1D Feasibility Modelling

A rapid sensitivity analysis in order to screen prospect portfolios for targets within the operational envelope of a CSEM survey and to identify optimum survey parameters.

The software produces responses from geo-electric models of the earth to CSEM signals and examines the sensitivity of these signals to:

  1. transmitter frequency.
  2. source / receiver offset.
  3. Resistivity of prospect and background resistivities.

The 1-dimension layered models are built from background data, which may include well logs, interpreted seismic data, or workstation sections, maps and volumes.

When a suitable prospect is identified, survey parameters are optimised with this module prior to advanced pre-survey modelling.

The modelling utilises OHM proprietary algorithms based on Maxwell’s equations, and the software runs under Linux on a single processor workstation; run times are of the order of minutes.
